Did you know about the ‘National Find A Rainbow Day’ – April 3rd? Well it was yesterday – oops! Of course it was late last night when I discovered this and it definitely got me motivated to share these amazing cards. 🌈 So – Happy National Find A Rainbow Day – One Day Late 😁
If you have been following my blog, you know that I try to stay on trend and current with everything new from Stampin’ Up! Occasionally, I get a little request from someone that asks me to use stamps that they have purchased in the past – que to the stamps and ink. lol. I had so much fun pulling out stamps for this one. The biggest surprise was the Eastern Beauty and Tabs for Everyday as these are sets that I usually don’t look for but I love all the fun shapes and elements found in both. Oh My Goodness, the more I searched for shapes, the more I fell in love with All of these sets, again😍!
Thanks to my Instagram friend Kate Deignan for the inspiration on the rainbow card! I took the idea of creating a rainbow with stamps and Wha La!!! Seven stamp sets and Eight ink pads later… Fun Fun Fun!!! I would classify this as a Simple – Avid Stamper Card. 😁
I even took this card to a class and let my customers play! ikr??? And, actually, if you are looking at the picture of my original table, above, I started with the Melon Mambo at the top of my card and then ended up switching the colors to reverse the order. In Class – this card was set up on a long table, like the one above, and each color was placed on the matching cardstock with its stamps… Stampers were required to stand; take a Whisper White base along with a Stampin’ Pierce Mat and move along the table like an assembly line, hoping that the stamps and inks wouldn’t have a chance to get mixed up. Did it happen anyway??? Yes! At the end of the night I discovered that a Lemon Lime Twist had landed in the Pineapple Punch ink pad. 😳 So, for my second class, I added a piece of coordinating cardstock below the ink pad and stamps. Hoping to help focus on stamping each color ( I wish I would have taken a pic of this). If you can imagine… starting with the Poppy Parade color, you would place the Pierce Mat on the Poppy Parade Cardstock and focus only on the Ink Pad and stamps which were also on a piece of Poppy Parade Cardstock. THEN, shift over to the Pumpkin Pie Cardstock to stamp that color, … The second class was a success with no incidents. yay!
I love how the sentiments from the Life is Grand stamp set showed up on the rainbow of colors.
Of course you can use any sentiment on this card, but the bigger, bolder ones look especially nice.
Fun thing about this card is that all of the ingredients are current and available. I will warn you though… the Lemon Lime Twist is retiring! If you want any of that color, order today!!! I would suggest the ink pad, ink refill and cardstock! Just click on any of the Lemon Lime Twist items below and you should see the coordinating products that we carry. The ribbon is adorable too!
