I Love Copper! I used a variety of copper products to create this card including Copper Embossing Powder, Copper Metallic Thread and the new Mini Pinecones.
Lets take a closer look at the large copper pinecone in the pine bough. For this I used a scrap of Soft Suede cardstock. Press the Versa Mark ink pad directly onto the cardstock to create a spot large enough for the pinecone die. Dip the inked area into your container of copper embossing powder. ( I keep my powder in a flat, plastic storage container). Emboss the copper with the heat tool and use a pinecone from the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies set to create a gorgeous copper pine cone. ❤️
Measurements:
Cherry Cobbler (base card) 8 1/2″ x 11″
Wild Wasabi 4 ” x 5 1/4″
Garden Green 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″
Cherry Cobbler 2 3/8″ x 3 3/8″
Scraps of Garden Green and Wild Wasabi used for Pine and Mistletoe sprigs.
One last little tip for you… to layer the pine boughs and pine cone, I used Liquid Glue (#110755). I started with one spot (let dry a bit to get tacky)… add a piece of mistletoe, pine bough and pinecone. Add a little more glue on the top of the pinecone… add three more pieces and copper metallic thread… add one more spot of glue… once tacky, add the ribbon. I used the new, Cherry Cobbler, 3/8″ Silky Taffeta ribbon. A simple knot or bow would look fabulous.
